Amazon Adventure!

 by  anonymous  on  2007-06-21

Who hasn't wanted to take a vacation few people you know have taken?! The Araiu (pronounce Ah ree oh) is a great place to be! They meet you at the airport, take you to the dock and 2.5 hours down the Amazon River to the hotel - lovely and humid! We swam with the dolphins (and these are pink - almost red!), danced with the Indians, went cayman (their alligator) sighting in a canoe, held sloths and anacondas, fed the monkeys, trekked through the jungle, and ate until we could eat no more! The staff will bend over backwards to get you what you want. Our guide was entertaining, knowledgable, and kept us as busy as we wanted to be. The atmosphere is so much fun and stunning views. We stayed in a treehouse (literally!), 4 flights up. Great exercise for the thighs. A bonus is taking a shower and having the monkeys looking at you through the screen! The treehouse suites all have airconditioning - a true bonus in the rainforest! This is a trip of a lifetime to share with your friends and family - makes for great stories when you return! Enjoy yourself, live a little, have an adventure in the Ariau Towers in the Amazon!
