Beach & Pools and outdoor facitlities are awesom. The rooms are absolutely run down, dirty, had ants, The bathroom had mold and mildew in the shower, the blankets had hair and stains on them. They definately need some major renovattions.
Mixed Review
This is my 2nd trip. My 1st was 6 years ago. The architecture and marine life are beautiful, however everything else is poor. The rooms are like a motel and so is the service. Not 4 star. Linens are poor quality, furniture is worn and cracked, rugs are worn and stained, bathroom faucets leak and are on wrong, plumbing is poor. They need a huge remodeling. 1/2 the sinks in the public bathrooms are missing faucets. Attention to detail is lost. Aqua activities are great (and casino), but so is Six Flags.
Anniversary Vacation
Awesome excursions NOT part of Atlantis. Mediocre room, excellant room service by staff, WAY TOO EXPENSIVE TO EAT AND DRINK! Things close down at 7:00 pm which was too early for us! Cool water features . Watch our for "cigar" sales and pushy time share people.
We've spent 3 vacations at Atlantis and it's our family's favorite spot.
This resort reminded me of Disney. It has that magical sense to it as you travel through the ruins and are constatly amazed by the sheer size of the aquariums. Great water rides, pools above average, pool chairs and pool service horrible. Food, 3-4 star quality 5 star prices. Rooms are similar to Sheraton four points or marriott quality, not overwhelmingly nice at all. Plenty to do for everyone, and definitely worth visiting once. Try eating around town for a lot less money and just as good of a meal. Spa services excellent. Large casino is very nice.
The overall beauty of the resort and the aquaventure activities were amazing. The guys loved the golf, we swam with the dolphins(highly recommend it). We were glad we didn't purchase a meal plan. The highest priced restaurants were disappointing. The rooms need updating. I noticed mold/mildew in the bathroom and vents. The staff was friendly. The only real problem we had was checking in. They were overbooked and wanted to move us to the Beach Towers. This was not acceptable and we really had to fight to get the rooms we booked.
