A Helpful Review of The Sheraton at Cable Beach
We booked an 8 day vacation to get the most out of our travels. The hotel is close to the airport. Cabs are *. The hotel is very nice. The rooms were clean and cozy. We had a room on the 1st level that walked out to the side of the hotel and to the beach, I recommend this style as opposed to a balcony. The pools were decent. They do need to be cleaned better but it's obvious the hotel is laid back about everything. The lifeguards leave at 6pm but you can swim all night which is awesome. The hotel is connected to the Wyndham so you can use they're pools and restaurants. The wyndham has more activities, casino and restauraunts and stores if you are looking for entertainment. The Sheraton is more low key and relaxing. The beach is beautiful and a must see. When we checked in no one told us anything or gave us a map or info about restaurants. There are only 2 and no activities. Nothings included. The customer service is poor all around at the Sheraton and in the Bahamas. We were extremely dissappointed with the lack of friendly faces and customer service from the people that work there. But as a culture it is the whole town. Te people living there are miserable and it shows. Everything is imported and overpriced. Do yourself a favor and go all inclusive at a hotel you can afford. We paid about *per night for 4 people and did not have all inclusive. Sodas are *, lunch is * Dinner is * and up. Be prepared to be nickeled and dimed for food and activities. It's not just at the Sheraton, it's the whole island and Paradise island too. It's expensive plan ahead!
A Helpful Review of The Sheraton at Cable Beach
My family and I chose this location to vacation for more intimate and quality over the busier hotel and casino facilities. The Sheraton's amenities, complimentary water activities provided fun for all ages. We loved this place and plan to return next year with our extended family. My only compaint is the cost of food; but considering 95% of the island food is imported justified the cost.
Great Times
The hotel itself was ok, it was more the service that was the problem. The only people that were friendly were the people working for a tip. If you order a beer from the bar, it was expensive and it had 15% gratuity added automatically. The service at the pool bar was bad, b/c they knew they were going to get a good tip automatically. We had to call every day at 2pm to get house keeping to clean the room and for fresh towels. The facility was nice, but for the island to depend on tourist to make money, they need to try a little harder and be less rude.
A Helpful Review of The Sheraton at Cable Beach
The Hotel was much better than expected, just finish total renovation. Stayed here because they allow pets. The staff was very accommodating ever for our small dog. Great place if you want to get away from the crowds over at Paradise Island at the Atlantis can even get to the table to gamble. We have been to Nassau many times this was our best experience the whole three day Weekend cost less that a night at the One and Only Ocean Club at Paradise Island where friends were staying.
Great Times
The Cable Beach area has been undergoing a significant renovation with more to come. This is good news. The Sheraton had completed it's renovation in Dec 2007, so older reviews may not be valid. Everything was to our liking including the location. Had thought about staying at Atlantis/Paradise Island, but after a short visit we were definitely happy we stayed at the Sheraton. Atlantis is just too large, everyone looked lost. There were 2 beach weddings at the Sheraton while we were there so we got to share the good music on the beach. The party groups and the peace & quiet groups mix well.

Mysons and I enjoyed the facility thoroughly. The hotel is new and clean ! By the way we went on the all inclusive plan which is fantastic esp if you have children.Everyone worked so hard to accomadate us and did a great job.No hidden charges!!!Just wish there was nightly entertainment ,like @ 8 or 9 p.m. . The kids would like more music and dancing..I did not like walking to the Crystal .Hopefully we will make our 3rd trip this summer!

Not bad.
We only did a one night trip there, but the room was excellent. View over the pools, and out to the ocean was excellent. Service was average, but the food choices were minimal, and expensive. Is it a good hotel? Yes. Would I return? Yes. But I would probably look into some other hotels first. Some with more entertainment and dining choices.
