My type of hotel
My husband and I had the most amazing weekend at Hotel Arts. We had an amazing suite and the bed was simply the best we've experienced in any hotel. Staff was really friendly. We hung out poolside drinking cocktails from the Raw Bar (felt like we were in South Beach). Had a great dinner and then went to see a concert nearby. Can't wait to go back for another visit.
Doesn't Live Up To Promises
The hotel staff was extremely courteous, helpful and attentive at all levels, i.e. concierce, front desk, restaurant attendants and housekeeping. Its incredible! It must be the Canadians. I rarely get this type of reception in most USA hotels!
This Boutique hotel in Calgary is richly appointed, but a bit too caught up in its own importance. Service was mediocre; ranging from fast and friendly to slow and down right rude. Housekeeping was a bit lax and did not replace used items (like coffee). The bed however, was the most comfortable of the four hotels I stayed at this trip. All in all, the Hotel Arts is a pretty and comfortable hotel, just don't expect consistent first class service.
Hotel Arts just completed 10 million in renovations and the hotel is beautiful. The guestrooms are gorgeous and the beds are amazing. Two new restaurants and a poolside cafe make it a hip new boutique option for Calgary.
Lots of potential, but a really long way to go still. Rooms are really tight quarters and the decor while stylish isn't always practical for living in the space
