not well kept
The hotel is in prime location, and is a part of once famous chain, but this particular property doesn't seem to be well kept:- the cordless phone in the room was dead - the bellhop who brought in my luggage suggested that the handset lost charge and would be fine after a few hours - never happened, we had to use the other phone which was on the nightstand.- the lock on the bathroom doorknob was broken- no WiFi in the rooms; the RJ45 connector on the ethernet cable was torn apart, with wires sticking out of the cable, and the connector cracked.- the food in one of the restaurants onsite was terribleOn one of the days the room was not made between 9 am and 3:30 pm (and I did leave a tip the previous morning!), then we got back to the room and then I got a voice message from housekeeping that they don't make rooms after 4:30pm, but offer so called "refreshing service" . I asked the room to be refreshed after 7:30 - never happened.I would definitely not stay again in this hotel.

Clearly the best hotel in Whistler and in the premier location in the Upper Village- venue for the slopes and first rated golf course. Chateu Whistler golf course is an absolute must to play for the avid golfer. Outstanding layout with views galore. Family friendly as well for those who want to take in the views only. Service and food were exceptional quality and were up to the Farimont discriminating standards.
