Clean and comfortable

 by  anonymous  on  2007-11-11

I thought that it might be a dive, since it wasn't expensive in the heart of a city, but it was clean and comfortable. The room was small, but I didn't need anything large. The only minus, I suppose, was that it didn't have a refrig. even though it was supposed to have one, although the only thing I use refrigs. for are leftovers that I want to eat the next day.The pluses are that the staff was nice and helpful and gave detailed directions for me since I used public transit.Try to get a room as high up as possible so as not to hear the people outside the pub at night.I was on the 7th floor(out of 8) and that was to my advantage. The restaurant downstairs cooked a good breakfast for me.The room was clean and updated. The bed was comfortable. The maids were nice. I'd stay there again.

Great location, but it is downtn...staff very accomodating. Near-by the shore front, close to Convention Cntr, Gastown, and Stanley Park. Take SeaBus to N. Vanc to Groose Mntn. Great rooms, but small...had room with 2 sep rooms, both had queens and sep TV's. Take the public trans, but had to pay 10-13 dollars for parking...in/out previlages. Had own laundry room at our level."

Room european sized, but clean & comfortable. Staff very helpful, gave great tips on where to eat. Extremely pleasant! The price was terrific - infact I was a little worried that the hotel wouldn't be so great because of the price, but I would stay there again in a heart beat. Also, the location was perfect, easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go.

My online reservation was not honoured, and the staff were indifferent even when I made simple inquiries about the airport shuttle. I was given wrong information and overheard one staffer calling a hotel guest a 'jerk' without trying to keep her voice down. Hotel is nice, but staff aren't.

The room was very small but clean. The concierge was very helpful and so were the desk staff. Very comfortable
