Pleasantly surprised
Quaint European-style hotel. Quiet, small, luxurious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was convenient to transportation, shopping and many restaurants. We were able to check in early, which was helpful for us, and so were able to explore Vancouver for an extra day. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who has the opportunity to be in Vancouver.
Pleasantly surprised
We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and we were able to check in early. This gave us extra time to explore Vancouver, which was very easy to do from the centralized location (walk to Stanley Park with great shopping along the way; Gaslight District and Steamworks microbrewery). We were travelling with our 5-year old son. Suite was perfect as we all had our own space. Room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. I travel very frequently for work and this was definitely one of the best hotels I have visited.
a delightful little hotel in the european tradition
MY HUSBAND AND I STAYED HERE FOR OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, AND FOUND IT TO BE GREAT! THE LOCATION IS TERRIFIC FOR SHOPPING AND FUN RESTURANTS, COFFEE SHOPS ECT. THE ROOM WAS AMAZING WITH A SEPERATE SITTING ROOM AND LARGE WALK IN SHOWER. WE WILL STAY AGAIN AND AGAIN AT THIS UNIQUE HOTEL!
The room was homey, comfortable, nice decor, had a great mini bar and huge bathroom. I really enjoyed this hotel and plan to go back again.
The best hotel experience I have ever had. The staff was excellent, extremely helpful. Location is close to the Vancouver Harbor only about three blocks to the large convention center. I would have been satisfied with much less. I was more impressed by the hotel than the city of Vancouver!
if you are loking for a refrigerator and microwave in your room this is not the place. If you want snobby over kill, this is not the place. As Goldilocks said, "it is just right". The location can not be beat....a short walk to the waterfront and cruise ships, gastown. Robson St shopping nearby. A * cab ride to Stanley Park, or you can walk (ten blocks) and ride the free shuttle throughout the park. Granville Island is a *cab ride or a pleasnt walk. The adjoining Copper Chimney restuarant offers huge breakfasts or small a la cart plates at reasonable prices, Dinner options are quite good. The best secret? Access to the YWCA next door (*a day). Swimming, workouts and steam are first class and open from early 'till late. We were reminded of favorite hotels in San Fran and Paris. Give this place a try.
