Great value. Nice hotel.
Including taxes, I paid about 142$CAD for this room (approx $111USD). For its location in Vancouver, I think it's a great deal. The staff was v...

Fine Hotel w/right location
I was very impressed w/Sandman staff and the large, clean & comfortable suite. The neighborhood is vibrant & very diverse, this hotel's security is seamless. The 18.75/day parking charge is the only downside to this Sandman.
Fine Hotel w/right location
The couch was backbreaking. However, everything else was great: housekeeping, front desk staff, view, kitchenette, free Internet, very clean and modern, in-suite washer/dryer. Book online (Travelocity had the best advertised rate). Or, if phoning, mention online rates, because initial quote was exorbitantly more expensive. They were helpful with room assignment requests over the phone. This is my new go-to place to stay in Vancouver.
Sandman Suites, Vancouver BC
The suites are compact, but they are still suites so better than your average hotel room. Mine had a washer/dryer, which was surprising and would obviously be great for long stays. I had an issue with the phone in the room not working and it wasn't repaired after my initial request. It would have been goo dto have more business friendly phone (such as with speakerphone). Overall, probably the best value in Vancouver I have found.
Fine Hotel w/right location
Truly enjoyed this property. Was actually supposed to stay at another Sandman property closer to the client office, but this worked out great. There are plenty of great little eateries and shops in this section of town. Everything was within walking distance or a short cab ride. Having arrived early after they had been full the evening before, the front desk staff worked diligently to get me into a room after an already long day.
Sandman Suites, Vancouver BC
When we checked in we were told by X at the front desk that we had been upgraded to the penthouse. We were extremely pleased with the accomodations. It was spacious with a great view of the bay, a Jacuzzi tub, balcony and everything anyone could desire. On a ten scale I would give it an elevin. Unfourtnately we checked in rather late and had to check out very early the next day. We returned to the same hotel twelve days later after we had completed our tour. This time we were given a suite that had an extremely small bedroom. We also had dinner in their restaurant, Moxies, which had very good food but extremely loud muisic. We could not hear each other and could barely hear the waitress. It was a very bad dining experience.
Excellent for the location
Old hotel in seedy area of town, with gay bars, etc. Rooms were tired and not too clean, showers were awful (no hot water!), and staff pleasant, but totally incapable of resolving issues. Not a place to recommend, and certainly not value for money.
