After a really bad Days Inn experience, I created a new rule: no more Days Inn... but we were in Niagara looking for a cheap hotel for a night, and found...
It was Ok - but I would find another
We had a room on the "courtyard" which is actually the parking lot. The bedding was clean. The room was Ok. There was mold build up in the crevases and between tiles in the shower stall area. There was also no cable TV available - which means no Treehouse! The biggest issue was you could tell our hotel room door had been kicked in previously - the jam was split and the door wouldn't close. The lock on the handle worked but the top one was missing. You also had to slam the door to get it closed - and it didnt' close at the top at all. The screen on the room next door had obviously been slit open as well. We were with our 5 yr old and found this all very worrisome. We made sure she slept in the bed away from the door just in case. Not a feeling I which to have again. And so, our next visit to Nigara Falls will be to a different hotel.

This hotel is in a great location, but needs serious remodeling, from the 1970's decor, worn furniture, heart shaped tubs, that were repainted by hand (LOL) to the broken beds, to the dirty carpeting, They stress at check in they have a zero tollerance for noise but both nights we were woken three times the first night and two times the second night by extremely loud, partying groups of teenagers, WARNING TO ALL this place is PARTY CENTERAL for all the young kids who go to Niagra Falls Canada at 79 and &95 per night you would expect more from now on we will pay to stay on Falls Avenue where we usually stay, guess its a expensive lesson learned on our part......The staff war great buy motel needs lots of work.....
After making the mistake of booking at this hotel, I will certainly never make the mistake of booking with Days Inn again. Originally I had booked this hotel online at Days Inn?s website, and I made the mistake of using a prepaid reservation. Most hotels believe in keeping clean rooms. Niagara Hospitality Hotels who owns the dive in question, philosophy is, ?Once you have their money, never give it back.?This hotel could not even be bothered to keep clean corridors let alone clean rooms. Pizza boxes and beer bottles were left in the corridor to the courtyard rooms. Cigarette butts strewn around the balconies as well. Inside the room was even worse. For a hotel that does not allow animals, one would expect that the carpets would be relatively clean. The carpets in the room were covered with stains. The bathroom in this room had red goo on the floor, and red goo on the wallpaper. The bathtub was not scrubbed either. The smoke detector in this room also appeared to be ready to fall off the ceiling. The wallpaper was also peeling off the walls. I asked to check out and get a refund. I was told that I would not get a refund as I had a prepaid reservation. The desk manager said that I could not get a refund as I had a prepaid reservation. He said I should have researched the hotel better before making a reservation. Translation: ?You should have realized that our hotel was an absolute dive before booking.?
We stayed here during our trip to Niagara Falls. We had a tower room and thought everything was great. The hotel was a great deal for the price we paid, I booked online and pre-paid to get a discount. Everything was clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to everything, about a half block from Clifton Hill which was nice. We walked to the falls and restaurants without a problem. We paid the 10 per day to park, but found this to be a bargain. The restaurants and attractions were very expensive and overpriced in the area. Double the price of what things cost near our home. Additionally, each dinner bill had 4 different taxes on it everywhere we ate - national healthcare.... We took a swim in the hotel pool which was nice, but really chlorinated. The hot tub was also nice. I have absolutely no complaints with our room at all they kept everything very clean. Even though you are near Clifton Hill, we heard no noise when we went to bed at night. Great trip for the family...just bring tons of cash!
Older hotel, but clean and well maintained. Room large enough for two double beds and two playpens. We were in older motel section, not tower. Quiet but close enough to easily walk to Falls. Difficult bringing stuff up stairs to second floor room. Small, clean pool, hottub and sauna. 10/day parking. No coffee in room or lobby. Friendly and helpful front desk. Problem with room phone fixed within half hour. Charges for local calls. Very pleased. Will stay here again.
