I did not get the "wow" factor at the Drake. People go there to "see and be seen" so they hype it up and build expectations way too high. The decor was...
I can't believe this is supposed to be an upscale hotel/club. My gf ordered a martini and it tasted like sewer water with some olives in it. She actually...

Great Boutique Hotel
I stayed here for one night to attend a performance and I was definitely impressed. The Crash Pad is the perfect size for a couple. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was well appointed. Something to note is that the shower area was not secluded from the bed area and the shower enclosure was all glass. If you're not comfortable showering in front of your travel companion this may be a problem. The shower was top notch as were the Aveda bath products. There is a parking lot across the street where you can park for 12 a night which isn't bad for most Toronto hotels that have their own parking garage. The Sky Yard was closed when we stayed there but it looked like it would be a cool place to have a drink. All in all I would say this is a high end boutique hotel with some class and a lot of character.
