Goldey Swiss Quality Hotel, Interlaken, Switzerland

Lovely little hotel

We booked the "superior twin room with balcony" at the Goldey, which turned out to be a smallish room on the first floor with a large terrace. Because of the solar panels on the first floor we couldn't see the river unless standing up, but we had a lovely view of the Alps and the town of Interlaken. The room was plain, but very well kept up, as was the rest of the hotel. The front staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet plentiful. It was a short walk from the hotel into Interlaken, but about a 15-20 minute walk to the main train station, Interlaken Ost. Overall, a nice hotel in a very pretty area.

Stayed 4 nights adding a 3rd person at the last minute. No problem; for a small fee an additional bed was added to the room. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Our Jungfrau plans had to be scrapped due to the weather, we chose the St. Beatus caves, based on the suggestion of the desk clerk. It was the perfect. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Hotel also offers a fixed dinner, but we did not have the opportunity to try it. The location and views from the hotel could not have been beat. I'd certainly stay there again.

Very efficient and friendly staff. We could even buy train tickets at the hotel reception

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Set in a beautiful and peaceful location outside town center. Easy walking access across the bridge to the town. Great breakfast with good variety and homemade foods. Somewhat pricey based on the size of the accommodations, more specifically the bathroom, but clean. Would stay there again.
