Amenities
Just steps from the fabled dramatic Charles Bridge-this intimatehistoric retreat promises a very personal touch with storybook charm and gracious intuitive service. Residence Hotel Alchymist represents the renaissance of a magnificent Baroque landmark, *U Jezisek Palace*, exquisitely transformed with the most modern comforts into a luxury and distinctive mansion that reflects the nobility and charm of historic Prague. The hotel*s guest rooms blend 16th to 19th-century paintings with eccentric, sumptuous furniture. Lovingly restored Baroque halls, Renaissance frescoes and dramatic vaulted ceilings live together with the most advanced comforts. Special suites include large living rooms and intimate dining areas, suggestive balconies and romantic terraces on a lush private garden. The one-of-a-kind Giorgio Suite is significantly the most spacious, a three-bedroom 250 sq meter suite within a restored Baroque building overlooking the impressive 17th century Schoenborn Palace, currently housing the U. Embassy in Prague. Additional information: Children age 10 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding.

nice christmas trip
great location within walking distance of everything (10-15min) the hotel looks a bit over the top, but the breakfast is good and the staff is helpful - we forgot a shirt when checking out but it arrived in the mail before we got back home. good service indeed
nice christmas trip
The Alchymist Hotel has a lovely entrance, but small, viewless rooms. The hotel is a bit overdone, but charming and in a nice location beneath Prague castle. It's biggest negative is the completely inept Concierge and staff. They were rude and clueless;unable to give even the most basic directions.Used the spa twice. The massage therapists are mostly Indonesian and spoke no Czech or English. The massages, however, were fairly good.I would probably stay at the Mandarin if I were to go again soon. The difference in quality of staff was marked. They could not have been nicer or more helpful. The food at the Mandarin was terrific.
