The Hotel Schlicker is situated in the heart of Munich where a genuine example of Bavarian hospitality can be found. The location of the hotel offers all prerequisites for an enjoyable stay in Munich. A stone's throw away you will find the Rathaus, (The City Hall) with it's world famous Glockenspiel. Also, in close vicinity is the splendid Frauenkirche, the Hofbr?uhaus (renowned beer hall) the Residenz, (Royal Palace), National Theatre and the Hofgarten (the royal palace courtyard). A few minutes walk away are the splendid boulevards, Maximilian- and Theatinerstrasse. In the same neighborhood is the Viktualienmarkt-a colourful food market with a wide selection of delicacies from all over Bavaria. The Hotel Schlicker Zum goldenen Loewen looks on along history. In 1544, the house is mentioned in Munich's oldest property registration book. For more than four centuries the property remained in private hands, until the year 1897 when the family Meier turned the house into a hotel, which they have managed to maintain for four generations. As a guest you can expect a comfortable and modern hotel, which is tastefully furnished and offers first class comfort. In 1993 the hotel was completely converted and modernized. The elegant single rooms, overly generous double rooms and splendid suites offer every comfort. All rooms have TV, radio and telephone, modem connection, bath or shower and WC. The hotel also has it's own parking place. Particularly delightful is the friendly breakfast room with the wide selection of choices the buffet has to offer. Just one more reason to choose the Hotel Schlicker Zum goldenen Loewen Additional information: Children under the age of 6 stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 6-12 will receive a reduction of 50%.

Fantastic place to stay in Munich
For the price, this place cannot be beat. It's right in the heart of the Marienplatz - step out the door and you're literally stepping on to the streets lined with cafes, places to eat and shopping. Also can't forget the fantastic pizzeria right next door to it ;) The quality of the room was fine - a little older, a little smaller than your average room, but very clean and had all the amenities you could want or need. Staff was very courteous. Would definitely be on our list to stay at again if we ever go back to Munich.
