This trip was okay. I t is a beautiful resort but they had no air conditioning while I stayed for 3 days. Also my room wa s far from everything even the pool. My family and I were always taken upto the pool area by a small cart. Also the elevator to go to the beach was messed up. I would not return,.

The location and grounds are BEAUTIFUL and it was just refurbished in nov 2006 so everything looks new. When we arrived, reception was good although I was there 3 times bc the key to my room wasnt working. After the third try, someone finally came with me to reprogram the key. Reception needs more training. Constantly called the front desk (from day 1) for an iron and did not get it till the day I checked out. Was inquiring about potentially having a wedding there and the wedding rep told me everything could be accomodated and would give me a tour. She made an appt for me and never showed up. The mgr had to step in and basically negated everything she said and said they would not be able to accomodate a large group. This was afer the mgr himself gave us the run around and we had issues with him bc they were changing the rates for day passes and you could never get a clear answer. I left the resort with plans of getting quotes and even spoke to florists (which they had come in). The mgr said he would email me details and a quote and 3 months later there is still no word from him. Honestly, if a hotel is supposed to be of a specific caliber, they should look into the quality of their managers! Rest of the staff was cordial and friendly. Activities are lame although the staff is nice and tries within the hotel. The town is very accessible and close if you want to do something. Resort is good for older folks. Kids were very bored. Food was excellent. Lots of seafood.
