Barcelo Sants is located approximately six miles from Barcelona Airport and 500 meters from Fira de Barcelona and the Palacio de Congresos. The hotel has direct access to Sants Central Railway Station and the Barcelona underground network, where trains run to the airport every 15 minutes and to the Gothic District every four minutes. Just so you know
The best quality of the hotel is that it is located directly above Sants Estacio, the central train station. The train to and from the airport is free and takes about 25 minutes. Metro and other rail lines meet at this station. Easy access to points of interest. HOWEVER, the windows in the rooms do not open and the air in the hotel is stale and smelly. AC barely cools. If you ask the maid to clean your room when you go out she turns off the AC and you come back to a sweat box. We stopped having our room cleaned and by Day 3 the room finally cooled. Water temperature changes while showering. Hotel charges 4.50 euros/day to use the safe in the room - a bit of a rip off we thought. You can hear showers run and toilets flush in adjacent rooms. A 3 star place at best.
