Hard to beat for visiting Carcassonne
Get here about 4pm, leave your car and luggage in the outer car park for Hotel guests and walk to the Donjon. They will bring your car inside the City at 6pm and your luggage to your room. Great service. You will have time to see some sights and shop as the hordes leave the city. You get an early start next day and a chance to see the chateau before the masses arrive. You can drive yourself out of the City before 12 and that is quite an experience with narrow streets full of people. The Donjon staff are great but they should provide free Wifi. The room we had (25) was fine, but incredibly small, which made it feel overprced!
