Great Hotel in a Perfect Location

 by  anonymous  on  2008-05-01

Have stayed here 10 + times over the past 3 years. Probably the best District in Paris-- a perfect combination of local reality, real Parisians doing what they do at home, fine shopping and easy access to Museums, fine dining, and all the charms of the City. Rue de Bac Metro Station is 20 yards from the front door of the hotel, and that gives you quick access to the entire City in minutes. If you are staying fro a few days or more, get a ParisVisite pass or Carte D'Orange pass for the Metro. The hotel is charming, great and knowledgable front desk staff, not too formal but perfect for business or pleasure. It's not the Ritz, but it is up to date, very well maintained, and a perfect home away from home. Explore the neighborhood, and have a great visit.b Can't go wrong here.

Great Hotel in a Perfect Location

 by  anonymous  on  2008-04-11

I'm a teacher. I don't have much money. I am very cheap on hotels. But the thing about travelocity is when they do packages, they don't tell you how much you are spending for the flight and how much you are spending for the hotel... I had no idea, they created a package that I could afford that included this hotel. It might be the best hotel in the history of life. I LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I was so overwhelmed when I checked in the desk person was like...um... so can I give you anything at all? a map of the city? something? I was was just so estatic to be in Paris... I sort of nodded. The location is EXCELLENT. You could not ask for more. The room was tiny but... miniature perfection even with a view of nothing but the wall of the rest of the hotel. It was a divine view of nothing. It was the best thing ever. At some point um I may or may not have had a new friend over... He ordered us a beer or two and the "waitress" took it up to my room on a silver platter on the elevator. It was all very grand ( the guy was kinda awesome too...) The location is perfect! Walk to the Louvre, Musee D'orsay, the metro is steps from the entrance.... they play up at the website these "heated floors" in the bathroom and I was thinking... I am going in April who cares? Um it was marvelous. Everything about the trip was Divine. I want to go stay there again. It's kind of weird to have to check your bizarro room key in and out when you leave and come back... but also kind of Parisian. STAY IN THIS HOTEL!

Great Hotel in a Perfect Location

 by  anonymous  on  2008-03-26

Beautiful hotel, very good central and convienent location. Always felt very safe. Staff vas very friendly and helpful with directions, and any questions we had. Almost everyone spoke English--there were no communication problems. Rooms were spacious and clean. We especially loved the bathroom with heated floor!

Wonderful!!

 by  anonymous  on  2008-02-13

We spent 5 nights at the Cayre on our way in to France and another three at the end of our trip. We were given an upgrade to an executive room for the initial five night stay (I did not ask for this, it was just done). The hotel is in a perfect location in the geographical center of Paris, an easy walk to nearly everything. The Rue du Bac Metro station is 20 meters away. The non-executive room was on the small side but was more than adequate. Wonderful bathrooms with heated floors. There is clear attention to cleanliness and good maintenance. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast is overpriced at 25 Euros (about 37) per person. However, the area is full of good cafes and bakeries, so you can have a wonderful cup of coffee and fresh pastry just down the block for about 5 Euros per person. As noted by prior reviewers, the Shell station in the building next door has a "mini market" which can be quite convenient. In sum, a wonderful experience.

Great Hotel, Good Location, Shell Station Awesome

 by  anonymous  on  2007-12-28

The room is great, the bathroom squeaky clean (it was a wonderfully pleasant surprise) and the shower is awesome! Everyone spoke perfect English with us and the nearby gas station has a wonderful bakery and sells great paninis (we had their paninis for breakfast everyday!).
