Built in 1860, the hotel is adorned with antiques from the Victorian period, many of them on display in the comforting foyer lounge. On the premises is a Mediterranean-themed restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner (including tasty authentic Spanish tapas), a lounge, a bar, and a recently refurbished gym. The hotel staff is eager to accommodate in any way that will enhance the comfort and stay of the guests. Rooms are simple, spacious, and tastefully decorated, providing the basic amenities such as en-suite showers and bathrooms (with hair dryer), satellite TV, radio, telephone with modem link, work desk, and tea & coffee making facilities.

Okay Hotel

 by  anonymous  on  2006-11-02

The room was small compared to U.S. rooms but still was comfortable and furnished nicely. The bathroom was very nice. The only thing is that being that the building is old and not soundproofed well, we could hear people walking above us at all hours of the night. Lastly, the elevator was an interesting site. It was very cozy for two people as well as slow. When asked for a wake up call and a taxi, the wake up call was not given but the taxi cab was called. Thankfully, we woke up with about 20 minutes to spare.

Okay Hotel

Hotel in nice quiet location across from Kensington Gardens and near Underground station. Staff went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. Room size was small so suitcases were in the way. That was an annoyance. However, since we spent very little time in our hotel room this was manageable. A free continental breakfast was provided which is a plus.

one of the best kept secrets in London is the Commadore Hotel - charming, clean, quiet, close to stuff - and the people are amazing - nice, reasonably priced rooms with all the ammenities - great little bar and wonderful resturaunt - super people - will stay again

 by  anonymous  on  2006-03-02

Town House room was so small that my daughter barely had room to do her morning exercises. The furniture was so cheap, old, scarred and water stained that a thift shop would have rejected it. The linens were only changed once in the week despite the claim by the desk that they were changed every other day. The continental breakfast was quite ample and served by genial and competent staff. The decor of the entry and lounge was attractive.
