The Milestone Hotel and Apartments
What a wonderful hotel. Above and beyond decor. Staff at your every need. Wonderful service and would stay here again. The park accorss the street was nice and made the hotel feel like it was in a park and not in a big city. Tourist bus picks you up 1 block from hotel. Lots of resturants/pub in area and the tube is right down the street. I don't recommed anyone traveling with luggauge to use the tube. Lots of steps and no lifts. Dinner at the hotel was wonderful. We each got a chopped steak served with potatoes. We couldn't figure out how the potatoes were cooked but they were so good. A small bottle of Coke will run you * (US). Wonderful decor in the dinning area also. It was great to hear about the history of the house. The smaller rooms are small but we got lucky, our A.C. wasn't working so we got upgraded to a suite. Just wonderful, lots of room, small living area, large soft bed and a large flat screen T.V. I do believe the smaller room had a larger bathroom. If it wasn't for the cost of this hotel I would stay here again if I was visiting London. Cab ride to the airport from the hotel was * pounds (* US). I booked using my Plat. Amex which included free breakfast and * pounds for two people to spend at dinner. And that's what our meal cost other than the coke.
