I felt that I had stepped back in time to a different era but the hotel has all the facilties of a modern 5 star hotel..The beautiful settings, original architecture, great food, very friendly and professional staff and fantastic facilities all helped make my stay amazing!.Ask for one of the unique rooms / suites. Good hotel but hugely overpriced. Compared to similar nearby hotels, this is a waste of money. The rooms are awful. Public areas are open to non-residents so advise is to stay at newer, better nearby hotels and use the Colony's public areas.
