It's one of the few hotels with privilege of facing the Gran Canal, the most important water-way in Venice, in one of the historic palaces of the city. Wonderful Staff, Excellent View, Good Price
My husband and I stayed here July 28-30, 2007. It was my second, his first, time to Venice. While the rooms are small by American standards, they are supposedly large by European standards. From our room 102 we had a MOST EXCELLENT view of not only the Grand Canal, but also Rialto Bridge - a major don't-miss. Venice is so small that this hotel was in the perfect central location to all the things you want to see. Additionally, Matteo (I apologize if I spelled it wrong!) was the most excellent host - he bought the place a few months ago. He made sure our needs were met, and his dinner suggestion was dead-on. Nice breakfast buffet in the hotel, good shower, a/c, high ceilings with nice fabric coverings on the walls...very nice place to stay in my opinion, without all the "attitude" we got at a couple of other high-end hotels we looked at while we were there. Minibar has the basics, but ONLY the basics, please don't be disappointed. Shower gel is provided, heated towel rack in bathroom too. They will store your bags the day of checkout if you wish so you may continue to enjoy Venice until the moment you must leave.
