Amenities
Hotel "Villa Caterina" was created in the first half of the last century as lodging house on the initiative of Domenica and Mario Cacopardo, who wished to make the best of their own house for its superb position and the extraordinary beauty of their garden, in order to host whoever longed to enjoy the clear transparency of Taorminas sea.In the sixties, due to the arrival of several tourists charmed by the splendour of the site, the lodging house was converted into a family-run board and lodging inn, by the actual owners, the grandson Mario Cacopardo and his wife Maria, who founded, in those years, the actual Hotel "Villa Caterina".They have maintained the family tradition endowing their hotel with that unique style made of affability, friendliness and cordiality, which is typically retraced in the classic hoteliers of Taormina. Hotel "Villa Caterina" stands in the fabulous inlet of Mazzaro bay with its picturesque beach and clear sea only a few metres away, easily reachable by means of a private pathway. The building has been completely refurbished and it is situated just 100 metres away from the cable-car station which leads up to Taorminas centre. A small parking area is also available for the hotel guests. The luxurious garden surrounding the Villa is characteristic of the Mediterranean vegetation and Mr. and Mrs. Cacopardo personally take care of it. They have run their hotel for over thirty years with dedicated passion, always offering their customers a serene holiday, rapt in the sweet sounds and scents of Nature.
