Tropical Paradise!

 by  anonymous  on  2008-05-03

This was our first trip to Jamaica, but it will most certainly not be our last. In fact, our experience at Coyaba ensured our return trip almost from the moment that we stepped into the beautifully tropical lobby, located just 10 minutes from the airport. The entire property is immaculately kept inside and out. The rooms are comfortable, clean and nicely appointed. The ever-smiling staff was always willing to accomodate any request, big or small. Besides the breath-taking beauty of Coyaba, the staff made this vacation utterly unforgettable and the best vacation of our lives. They have a small private beach that is kept clean and beautiful. The restaurants were also unbelievable! Their delectable offerings were quite simply heaven. Everything and everyone at Coyaba exceeded our expectations on every level. Go to Coyaba! You'll never want to leave and if you have to leave (like we did), then you're sure to return (like we will) as soon as possible.

Tropical Paradise!

My husband, myself & 15 year old son really loved the hotel. The staff was wonderful, very attentive but not overbearing. Pool & grounds were very well kept, entire facility was very clean. Food was okay, they seem to do the best with what they have to work with, fresh fruit and vegetables were excellent. All the bartenders were wonderful, one hooked us up with a fabulous driver (Neville) who took us on a tour of the Island. No night life but we were looking to just "chill' and do some family bonding and the hotel was very conducive to both. Water-sports was not much, suggest you bring your own snorkel gear.

clean rooms

The staff was excellent. The food at the Vineyard was top quality and delicious. I great place to relax and to enjoy water sports, billards, etc. We went on the Black River Safari Tour and enjoyed it tremendously. YS Falls is much more impressive (and less touristy) than Dunns River Falls.

Coyaba is lovely - great rooms, professional and gracious staff and gorgeous gardens and beach. We are not the all-inclusive types but found a great driver, who took us all over Montego Bay for shopping, sightseeing and beautiful rides in the hills overlooking the city, and a day trip to Negril. On-site restaurants are pricey so the taxi fare was offset by much less expensive meals we had around town plus we saw and experienced alot that enriched our trip. Also, seeing other hotels and beaches made us even more pleased with Coyaba.

The atmosphere is nice. The staff is friendly. The menu could be more elaborate but the is good. The rooms are well kept. Would recommend the hotel to families with young children or anyone looking for some serenity.

The rooms are very clean and well maintained. All of the furniture is up to date not old and run down. The food is very expensive so definitely consider all inclusive because it is hard to get to other restaurants without paying extremely high prices for taxis. It is 30 dollars round trip to get to the hip strip from the hotel. The hot water takes a while to get hot.
