New Hotel - Great staff and service
Built in 2007 I think. Very pretty, nice beach, pool. Elevators were located very conviently. Staff was very freindly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The water was not as clear as what we just had in the Dominican Republic earlier this week. About 10 or 15 miles outside of Montego Bay. The hotel gives change back in US , thank goodness. Much easier to deal with that way. The staff speaks English, YEAH! You get cards for pool towels, at the end of your stay, if you don't return the card it's 10. Guess what, someone swiped my towel from our group of beach chairs. Oklahoma boy knows how to take care of that. Drinks are ok. No decent Margaritas. Try the Miami Vice if your not diabetic. Wow! Friend had no problems with his Long Island Ice Tea. Food was good, pleanty to choose from. No limits on the minibar items, I just drank cokes, so I don't know what else was in there besides bottled water. Rooms clean. Nightly shows, funny, same shows basically as we had just scene in the Dom. Rep. Our friend was in 2 shows. Yes, audience participation almost every night. Depending on your nights stayed you get to eat at the special ala carte resturants. We had the Japanese one night. It was good, like ShoGuns, but our guy didn't do anything, wish we had sat at the other table, they had a blast. We missed our second restaurant becasue we were gone. Entertainment staff works hard all day long. Lots of activities. It's your vacation, the more you meet and talk to people, the more you will enjoy yourself. Get out of your normal element and have some fun. Iberostar is a great place to meet new friends.
