The all-inclusive Sunset Beach Resort & Spa sits on a private peninsula and is located approximately three miles west of central Montego Bay and 10 miles from Sangster International Airport.The property's amenities include the three beaches (one of which is clothing-optional), five bars, disco, three swimming pools, hot tub, four lighted tennis courts, shuffleboard, mini-golf, beach volleyball, fitness center and spa (spa treatments are not included). Three onsite restaurants plus a poolside beach grill offer a choice of authentic Italian at Botticelli, Chinese specialties at Silk Road or Banana Walk Buffet Restaurant, and light fare at the Sunset Beach Grill. Accommodations, dining, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, entertainment, sports and recreation, non-motorized watersports, taxes, and tips are covered in the all-inclusive price. The spa facilities include the weight room, aerobics studio, steam room and saunas (available at an extra cost), treatment rooms, and salon.All rooms feature full baths, hairdryers, telephones with voicemail, cable TV, safes, balconies or patios, king beds or two doubles, and air-conditioning.

Just OK
Upon arrival bell captian was very curtious and propmtly took bags off bus. Front Dest personel was very curtious as well but check in process was very slow. Seems there was a lack of personel. Food was very good, fruits were fresh. Room was just average. Needs updating. Room service was very poor (went without towels for a full day). Seems as if hotel was not ready to operate at full capacity. Waterpark was very good for the children and adults as well. Kids had a blast. There was construction going on so I am sure this had some negative effect on overall experience. Needs to focus more on customer service overall.
Just OK
The Sunset is a wonderful place to stay, specially if you will be traveling with children. There is something for all ages and they make sure you have a great time while you are there. From the Kids club, to the teanage partys and the adult entertainment every night ! The staff is wonderful, caring, attentive, friendly and everyone from the bell boy to the activities manager is amazing. The hotel has a few different pools so there is always room to have fun, the kids pool is the best though -- even adults enjoy it. The beach is clean and they make sure everyone interested gets a turn using the paddle boats, kayaks and snorkeling equipment. Room service is quick and the staff works hard to ensure the place is always spotless, I was impressed.

This was our third trip to Sunset Beach and we love it. It is the best resort for your money, the staff and food and the beaches are just beautiful. They have recently made some renovations and have made the property even more beautiful. We are already planning our next trip.
Just OK
First and foremost this facility is almost 100% newly renovated. For the value, I wasn't sure what we would get. We got, a 20 minute ride to the hotel from the airport, we got quick check in service (less then 10 minutes-make sure you pre-register at the Sunset resort lounge at the Montego airport, this will save time at the resort), the place was clean & the people very friendly. You do not need to leave this resort, although we booked tours. The food was ok. For picky eaters there is always a pasta dish, salad bar and chicken. Breakfast was the best, lunch and dinner ok. Make sure you book right away for the speciality resteraunts. They really do book up. The Italian place was fantastic. They say you need semi-formal dress, you do not. Capree's and a nice shirt, men with dockers and golf shirt is good enough. There is plenty to do as an adult (tennis, kayak, paddle boat) and for the kids (mini golf, water park). The had entertainment geared for children and adults at night. If you are looking to party the night away, you won't get that here. But, the drinks are great, the entertainment at night is ok and it really is a nice place if you are looking for low-key, dotted with excitement - ending with great memories. My family and I will be back and can't get over how nice the resort is. Oh yeah, this place is secluded. So, there aren't any shops across the street. No malls or other places to eat that do not require transportation. Taxi's are one way to Margaritaville, but the resort has a free shuttle everynight starting at 9pm.

We had alovely time. The food ,location staff was helpful and it was very clean. The entertainment was awesome ,each night there was a special guest who performed,it was fun! We would go back in a heartbeat.
Review of Sunset Resort and Spa
Ok let me start off by saying that it is a beautiful resort...the openess of it make you feel much more free and relaxed than most hotels. I loved the staff and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was not the best in all areas but there is something for everyone! I strongly suggest the Pimento.. It was excellent!. Veiws are great, drinks were strong and it was paradise for us! I strongly reccomend this resort to anyone!! Oh and the sunset there is unobstructed and completly breathtaking!!!! Take Jamaica in and lsee the country its a soul changing experience!!
