A Surprising Hidden Treasure on Cambodian Coast
After a week of travel working with an national NGO, my wife and I were seeking a little getaway and were advised to try the Sokha. We were more than pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was. Tucked away on its own private beach, the Sokha grounds with its open layout and beautiful landscape and pool, allowed us to relax and unwind. We alternated between laying out by the pool or under canopies on the beach. The rooms were simple, yet elegant. The concierge was helpful in arranging an island snorkeling day trip and the tennis courts were in good condition. The oceanside restaurant was quiet and served a good mix of regional cuisine and international selections. Located four hours from the nearest airport (PNH) caused us to believe the Sokha would continue to be a hidden treasure that will not get overrun by crowds anytime soon. When my work brings me back to Cambodia, I look forward to another visit.
