We will return one day.

 by  anonymous  on  2008-05-21

Coco Palm is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in the Caribbean. I look for nice hotels with some services at a reasonable price. After all, we come to the Caribbean to spend time on the beaches and in the sun, not lazing around a hotel room. Everything, everything met and exceeded our expectations. Our personal host was Sherma and she went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Best meal we had in St. Lucia was at Ti Briannie. Wonderful food in a romantic atmosphere. We will return to St. Lucia as soon as time permits.

We will return one day.

The Coco Palm is an absolutely fantastic hotel/resort and we absolutely loved our stay here. We meet some very nice couples from England and Ireland who we have remained in contact with, along with other nice couples. The hotel is in a great location with some excellent restaurants around (Dufry's, Ti Banane (resort restaurant--> try the sorbet). The rooms were great and well equiped with the basic needs. A nice patio off the back of your rooms to relax in the evening or morning. The staff is amazing!! We contacted them before our trip and provided us with great service and that remained the whole time through the holiday. Recommendations:- Local and long distance phone calls are expensive- Go to Pigeon Island on the most beautiful day and reserve the whole day for your trip...it's gorgeous- Don't buy any palm reed products because they are not allowed in the country, even though they are pretty cool.- When you get into the local airport, don't allow the guy to take your bags because he wants a large tip. The trip from "baggage claim" to taxi pick-up is maybe 10 steps at most once you go through the door.- Don't take taxi's once at the island, they are expensive, travel by bus. It's cheaper and a nice way to meet the locals. - Do set-up a day long private taxi tour through the hotel because they will show you the island- If you are going to Martinique, I would fly. It's 50 more dollars per person, but it's well worth it.- Visit Pointe Serafine, not Castries MarketOur only regret is that we didn't stay longer. This hotel has everything you could hope for and more. It was very tough to leave down there.

Perfect for romance, relaxation or adventure

This was our first real vacation in a long time, and we LOVED the Coco Palm. The staff was so nice, our host was always smiling and asking how we were, what we had planned. She helped us find the right tour for us, which ended up being the highlight of our trip. Fresh beach towels whenever you want them. The bar/restaurant is right there, and any type of restaurant is out on the street. Great location too, even if it's not on the beach (stay away from those Rex resorts, they looked so old and filthy). I would definitely come back!"

We really got it right with this resort! We were greeted with cool towels for our necks and rum punch! Royal was located on the best beach, surrounded by the best restaurants (both in and outside of the resort), and the service was excellent. Our room was big with separate living and sleeping rooms and was cleaned two to three times a day! We even stayed an additional day - we loved it that much!
