The adults-only, all-inclusive Sandals Halcyon St. Lucia is located approximately four miles from the Hewanorra International Airport and is situated on a private beach amid 22 acres. Recreational activities include canoeing, paddle boating, a multitude of watersports, touring in glass-bottom boats, and swimming in one of three pools. The resort also offers golfing privileges at Sandals St. Lucia, tennis, and a fitness center. On-site restaurants include The Bayside featuring international cuisine, the Pier Restaurant featuring Caribbean, Mario's featuring Italian cuisine. Please note that proper attire is required for dinner seatings: no beachwear, tank tops, or bare feet. Dress shorts are permitted, but not at Mario's. There are four bars, three pool bars, beauty salon, car-rental service, gift shop, and valet parking. This property's all-inclusive package includes all meals, anytime snacks, gourmet dining, all alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, landsports, non-motorized water sports, golf, entertainment, scuba diving, round trip airport transfers, daily maid service, and all taxes and gratuities. Rooms feature air-conditioning, bath and shower, hairdryer, safe, telephone, satellite television, and a clock radio. Please note: Sandals Resorts welcomes adult couples 18 years and older. Transfers to and from this hotel are included in your room rate. Upon airport arrival, please go to the Sandals desk for your transfer.

A quiet getaway but not what is advertised

We were looking for a small all inclusive. We heard very good reviews of Sandals Resorts and had never been to one. The location is 1.5 hours away from the major airport in a cramped van. The resort location is on a very busy street and also very noisy. We could hear tires screeching all throughout the day and night as well as sirens, diesels and whatever other traffic noise you can imagine. Tough to remember that you are at a resort. As far as an "ocean view" room, yes, but barely. That description is a real stretch. Our room was right outside the main pool and if you could see over the hedges on the patio and past the crowd at the pool, then maybe you could catch a glimpse of the ocean. We requested a change and got one the next day. The rooms were definitely outdated. We had to call the front desk for an iron that worked, a toilet that "ran" all day and night, and the air conditioner that did not work and was quite noisy. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating to all of our requests. It's just too bad that we had to make so many requests.

We spent 6 wonderful evenings at the Sandals Halcyon, it was the best vacation ever. The time of year was perfect, not busy and not dead. The staff was the most kind and wonderful. Every employee was super friendly, the locals are great. I would reccomend the Hlcyon over the other two Sandals due to the smaller and more relaxing enviornment. The other two are beautiful, as you can visit and eat at the others also, but much larger and you have to take a shuttle to get everywhere. Wonderful trip.

We just got back from spending a week at Halcyon Beach. I wasn't really thrilled with the room when we first got there, it was in need of an update, but I understand that a renovation is scheduled. It was in a great location between the other two Sandals. The employees of Sandals were great, food on the whole was great, cold drinks, what more could you ask for.

The island is beautiful, The hotel staff was friendly and attentive but not overwhelming. The food was excellent. We liked this Sandals because it was smaller and more intimate than the other Sandals on the island.. It had a more laid-back vibe. We loved it.

Hotel is quiet and peaceful. In March the beach was brown. Nothing like it looks in the pictures. Rooms are very simple, not luxirous at all. Though one can travel between the 3 Sandals resorts by shuttle. Halycon is cheaper, smaller, more peaceful, perfect for couples.

wedding on the ocean, calm, clear, beautiful views, very pleasant, and relaxing, under the gazebo, low cost, excellent organization by staff, and clergy. planning to go back. food was great, stay at one, play at 3 was the best, use of rooms at other resorts in sandals brand name, for changing. the night time entertainment was fantastic. pools the best with swim up bar, piano bar to enjoy with guests.. nice to go back to vary soon..
