Good central location
by anonymous on 2007-07-24
This hotel was a pretty good value and its cental location to the city center and old Riga made it a good choice. A lot of attractions were in walking distance and the trolleys to other parts of the city were within a few blocks walk. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a free breakfast, and lunch and dinner buffets. The hotel also offers free internet service, but since there are only 3 available computers, there is sometimes a bit of a wait. On the 26th floor, there is a bar that offers a beautiful view of the city. The waitress was very rude, but otherwise, we had no complaints with this hotel. The beds were comfortable, however, a "queen" bed is actually 2 twin beds pushed together. The room is a bit small, but larger than other eastern european hotels we stayed in during our trip, and much more modern. Cleaniness is good in the room, bathrooms, and dining rooms. For some reason, they don't seem to vacuum the hallways.I would recommend this hotel.
