Our modern complex consists in 12 exclusive apartments from 2 to 3 bedrooms each, designed specially for a family vacation, it*s a beautiful building, recently build in 2006, in the middle of beautiful gardens in a privileged situation between the famous fifth avenue of Playa del Carmen and Mar Caribe, with its spendid white sand beaches. Riviera Maya Suites offers a private swimming pool and access to a well taken care of private beach of the partner Hotel Las Palapas. The building offers an elevator from the roofed parking lot, to the three floors offering a great view of the gardens that surrounds it. The roof was designed as a solarium, from there and from the penthouses you can enjoy a spectacular view of the turquoise Caribbean Sea on top of the beautiful tropical gardens.

Suites are very far from everything!
The first day we arrived, they took our luggage to our rooms 1hr after we arrived. Everything is far from the suites. You have to take a tram to go anywhere on the premises of the resort. God forbid you forget a towel or your sunglasses when your at the pool, then you have to waste 1/2hr just to get to your room, and back to the pool. The pool is amazing it is huge!! They compensate it for the beach. You can't go swimming at the beach, there's rocks. If you plan to swim in the ocean, don't stay at the Riviera Maya. The restaurants at the resort are exceptionally good, however, very expensive!! Unless you attend there timeshare presentation you don't get a discount on anything at the resort. You're far away from everything outside of the resort, so expect to pay for taxi fare everywhere you want to go. I enjoyed my stay, and plan to go again next year but I will not be staying at the Riviera maya.
