BUMPED , YET COMPENSATED
WE ARRIVED AT THE ROYAL TO FIND THEY WERE OVER-BOOKED. WE WERE CRUSHED. xxx AND xxx TOOK GOOD CARE OF US. SHE PUT US UP AT THE PALACE, WHICH COSTS MORE BUT ISN'T A NICE. THE STAFF AT THE ROYAL IS TOP NOTCH. THEY SENT US BY TAXI EACH DAY , TWICE A DAY, SO WE COULD STILL ENJOY THE WONDERFUL BEACH AND BACK FOR DINNER. AFTER THREE DAYS THEY FOUND ROOM FOR US. THIS WAS OUR SECOND VISIT AND IT WAS GREAT TO FIND OUR FRIENDS WE MADE THE FIRST TIME STILL WORKING THERE. xxx IS OUR BEACH BUTLER AND LOVES HIS JOB. THE ACTIVITIES CREW WERE GREAT. xxx WAS MY FAVORITE. xxx GAVE US THREE FREE NIGHTS NEXT YEAR, FOR THE TIME WE MISSED, WHICH I APPRECIATED. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO THANK THEM FOR EVERYTHING THEY DID TO MAKE SURE WE WERE HAPPY. I WILL BE GOING BACK BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE MORE THAN ANYTHING. THE ROYAL HAS PUT TOGETHER A GREAT GROUP OF PEOPLE, FROM THE DOOR MAN TO BEACH STAFF. THANK YOU TO THE ROYAL, I WILL RETURN. GRACIAS, MARY L.
BUMPED , YET COMPENSATED
Ths was basically my honeymoon. If you are considering this place for vacation look no further you will not be disaapointed. This place is top notch, they dont miss a thing here. Rooms are beautiful marble floors hot tub in the room hammock on the balcony. Bose dvd player ipod dock. The restaurants are phenominal, the beach is right there, the fruit drinks could be a little stronger, but the way around that ask for double the alcohol. Lots of included activities. Book now!!
Fantastic
We didn't get the room we booked but were eventually given it a day later. Construction on one side was super loud. Room on other side was amazing! Best i've seen. Pool was a little small but beach was great. Service was excellent.

First time at the Royal and what a great place. The rooms were excellent and the bed was as good as the one we have at home. The room was cleaned everyday and turn down service was done before we came in for the night. Everyday we had different towel art. Thanks Guadelupe. Remember to tip.The food was average. The first night on arrival we ordered room service and the next morning and the food was cold. Pelicanos was good, Asiana was great and the breakfast at Spice was excellent.The service at the resturaunts and bars was unbelievable. Everyone always had a smile and wanted to help us in any way we needed. We did notice the whole time we were there that we only counted two people who tipped their server. These people only make about 90 every two weeks and the reaction we got from tipping always put a smile on their face.Being right on the beach and one block from 5th street meant we didn't have to go far to find something to do. We would defenitaly go back.

Was on our Honeymoon and had the best room on the Resort, The Presidential Suite. Had our own private pool, overlooking the beach and courtyard. Very nice place!!! Very Relaxing!!!Really good food, especially Asiana (for those that like Japanese food). Dress code was normal - No beachwear (Shorts, tanktops, flipflops) after 5. Romantic Dinner on the beach is a really classy option for those that want to enjoy a nice dinner with someone special!!! Only complaint was room service was limited and a little slow, but overall a wonderful experience!!
Outstanding
My husband and I just got back from a two-week vacation in Royal. This was our second stay in the same hotel, and we will definitely go back. Everything was perfect: food, service, location... A well organized and well maintained hotel, with lovely rooms and professional, kind & efficient personnel. You won't be disapointed.
