Situated on 10 acres, Velas Vallarta Suite Resort is an all-inclusive resort located within walking distance of the marina, approximately two miles from Puerto Vallarta International Airport and four miles from downtown. The hotel is home to two restaurants, three outdoor swimming pools, three lighted tennis courts, two bars, a beauty salon, barber shop, fitness center, and gift shop. Please note that some restaurants have a dress code of long pants and collared shirts for men and no sleeveless shirts or beachwear for women. Services at the hotel include a tour desk, babysitting, safe-deposit box, car-rental desk, currency-exchange desk, dry cleaning, laundry, and a concierge. At the nearby marina, guests can enjoy watersports and deep sea fishing. The elegant Andrea Restaurant offers an international breakfast buffet and theme nights. La Ribera Restaurant offers a casual oceanfront setting for fresh seafood with stunning views of the sea. The all-inclusive plan includes a full menu selection--ranging from casual snacks to gourmet dinners--in your choice of on-site restaurants or 24-hour room service, plus Theme Night dinners with entertainment. Top-shelf bar brands are included in the selection of beverages.All suites were recently redecorated with new furnishings, new sweet-dream beds, 27 inch flat-screen TVs, modern kitchen appliances, state of the art air-conditioning and teak wood furnishings on balconies. Rooms also offer a pillow menu and luxury bath amenities.

third year!
This is the 3rd year we have stayed here and it is excellent. Nice clean room. Friendly staff. Good service. Good food. Excellent location. Good beach. Great pools. great beds. Becareful if you rent a car from Thrifty there..go over the car with a magnifying glass and note even superficial scratches before signing the papers.

our stay was wonderfut, relaxing &very memorable. The service is outstanding but the beach is not to swim in. excellent place to stay in PV. would be back soon
Unforgettable family vacation
We went as a family of 4(two teens-17 &18) with 2 guest (20 & 24). The pool was amazing and the grounds beautiful. This was the busiest week in PV and the staff was very attentive. The food, although good, was cold to luke warm (buffet style). There was the opportunity to get your food cooked to order. We did the all inclusive option and found it to be perfect for us. The one downer was the time share presentation. The man who we said NO to (eventually after a 2-plus hour presentation..suppose to be 90 minutes) was very rude. If you can stomach this presentation, they do offer you various free excursions...take advantage as the excursions can be spendy. The canopy tour was very fun (predator tour). We will definitely recommend this to others going to PV.

Having children a rare chance to get away alone, it is important that the resort is right. Velas Vallarta did it's job excellently. The timeshare people are respective of your lack of interest which is rare. The food, room and facility are unbelievable. Having been to other facilities in PV I would definately go back again.
Unforgettable family vacation
For a quick getaway we were looking for something in PV. We have stayed at 5 star hotels here and loved them Decided to chance it with Velas Vallarta and were anything but disappointed. The facility, staff and food were phenominal and we are already planning our return trip.
Velas Vallarta
My family very much enjoyed this resort. The pool area is excellent for families, those looking to relax & even the partiers. The pool area is so extensive that each type of person can enjoy quiet areas, kids pool (2 feet deep) and the action area near the swim up pool with DJ music all day. The hotel room met our expectations with a fridge, microwave , dishwasher and 2 burner stove (no oven). The ocean views from balcony were fantastic. The all inclusive is fairly expensive (125 per adult per day) considering that the food is average. My suggestion is to avoid the timeshare presentation since 3 hours was a waste of time & I would rather pay for a 50 minute massage then listen to 3 or more different salespeople try to sell me what I don't want. All that said, we may return in the future & I highly suggest a day boat trip to the Las Colletas area (Full day trip with scuba,snorkeling, food & drink, beautiful beach setting) from the downtown marina. My family will never forget the good times we had at the pool, on the beach (sunsets were amazing) and the wonderful weather (mid to upper 80's every day).
