Improvements needed
Expensive restaurant with not a lot of typical Nicaraguan food. Concierge service needed. Hotel store should be larger. more

Expensive Dining
With all the other hotels in the area, you can get so much more for less money... this hotel is way overrated and very expensive... went down for a cup of coffee, as I do not eat breakfast... they charged me 15.00 U.S. for a cup... the other hotels in the area, complimentary... if you get a good deal, they will find a way to get even more out of you and make your vacation more expensive... the staff is not friendly... my advice is to search and find other hotels in the area... they are there... my advice to travelocity is to seach these other hotels out and give there customers more options...
Expensive Dining
Beautiful rooms. I stay here frequently. Internet access in rooms is very PRICEY. Room rates very greatly. You really have to negociate to get the best rate. You might be surprised how much less the person next door is paying for their room!
Really Comfortable Hotel
Building is designed to surviive a large earthquake, with it's own emergency backup water and power facilities. Great security with lots of guards during the daytime, but everyone is gone at night except the front desk person who is waiting for you in a lobby with all of the lights turned out to save electricity.
Love this hotel. Rooms are exactly the same as the Intercontinental MetroCentro, the lobby less ostentatious but very clean and comfortable. A very easy place if you like an American style hotel with no suprises. My wife feels right at home here, and she is otherwise totally off-balance in Nica because she does not speak spanish. Very safe, including at night. Internet can be expensive, but it is fast and reliable.
I've travelled extensively on business, and this hotel impressed me because of the wonderful service. The room was immaculately clean and the service was extremely pleasant. Even when I needed something late at night, there was always someone to help me. I also felt safe. As a woman travelling alone I would highly recommend this hotel.
My husband went to Nic. for the first time last year. He got sick from eating something, so we decided not to bother my family and be comfortable. Thank God we did. The hotel was super. We ordered room service and the food was excellent. Great hotel, great place to relax.
