InterContinental Resort and Spa Moorea is on one of the most spectacular tropical islands of French Polynesia. Situated on the north western side of the island, the resort provides a magnificent setting for a memorable South Seas vacation experience. 143 Lanai rooms and Garden, Beach and Overwater bungalows were completely refurbished in 2002. Guests will need to fly into Papeete International Airport in Tahiti, then take a domestic flight to the Moorea Airport. Air transportation to this island may be made by contacting Air Tahiti at +(689) 86 42 42.airtahiti.aero. Considering the length of travel, odd hours of travel and remoteness of the Islands, flight details (International and Domestic) are essential to anticipate guest arrival and satisfaction. 143 Lanai rooms and Garden, Beach and overwater bungalows completely refurbished in 2002.Considering the length of travel, odd hours of travel and departure flights and remoteness of the Islands, FLIGHT DETAILS (International and Domestic) ARE REQUIRED AND ESSENTIAL TO ANTICIPATE GUEST ARRIVAL AND SATISFACTION.

IC Moorea - really enjoyed it!

 by  anonymous  on  2007-12-03

My husband and I stayed in a Garden Bungalow Suite and really enjoyed the property. The room was spacious, well appointed and we even had a slight view of the ocean (most of the Garden Bungalow Suites do not have a view but are in nice surroundings). The room itself was incredible and we really loved it. The pool was nice but nothing fancy. The beach and lagoon were great but neither were sandy enough to go into without some type of foot protection. The snorkeling was pretty good for an off-the-shore snorkel and there were a lot of activitiesOn the downside, there aren't any restaurants near the resort (at least a 20 minute cab ride away) so we were pretty much hostage to the property restaurant, which was EXTREMELY overpriced and not very good. There was a small convenience store walking distance but they only sold soda and chips. Next trip, I will probably select the Sheraton because it is closer to the ferry terminal and many restaurants. Lastly, we felt very secure around the property and the staff was wonderful. The bar and wait staff spoke English. The propery has day rooms available for 30-minutes without charge which was great for a late flight.Overall - Moorea is great.
