Amenities
The name Eskaya refers to the only known indigenous people of Bohol. The resort is in Panglao Island, which is at the southernmost tip of Bohol. It is located halfway through Panglao along its coast facing Bohol Sea. Topography of the resort is varied. It has a short cliff, flat land, ravine even caves, and has a commanding view of the sea. On the higher ground of the resort, one can view mountain with lush vegetation. Down the beach is a long stretch of white sand up to four miles, 600 meters of which is part of Eskaya. The resort is boutique style, which accounts for its exclusivity. Architecture of the building is decidedly Filipino with a splash of modern amenities. The thatched villas or balai in the local dialect, are single detached. These are built with sturdy construction materials, but the ample use of indigenous materials like bamboo, cogon, and wood for finishing is highly evident. The center of attraction of the resort is the main infinity pool, which definitely blends with the sea at its bluest. The spacious restaurant has a cool feeling, yet with a warm ambience and plenty of sea view and pool view. Dining can also be at the beach al fresco, at the poolside, and in the garden. Sports activities include beach volleyball, badminton, pingpong and water sports like jet-ski ride, snorkeling, etc. Island hopping, scuba-diving, whale-watching, and sightseeing tours maybe packaged or can be arranged on arrival at the resort. Guests can also play chess or scrabble. There is a mini library in the office where DVDs are also available. On the accommodation front, there are beautifully-appointed villas or Balai with outdoor showers and whirlpools, as well as an enticing collection of pool villas and suites with breathtaking views into the sea. Satellite TVs, DVD players, mini-bars and generous patios are standard throughout.
