Good value
I chose this hotel because it was part of a online travel website package. I was going to SP because I wanted to (a) meet a woman I had been communicating with and (b) see a city I felt was the best city for art and architecture in Europe. The room was of sufficient size by European standards. The bar/coffee bar on the main floor was good -- except the 2 times it was overly crowded (seats 10, max), the "Sky Bar" was not open. The breakfast (available on some packages -- not mine) was w-a-a-a-y-y-y overpriced. Watery scrambled eggs. Limp (really -- and they are 3" long at most) and flavorless sausages. The concierge was upper mediocre at best. For a first-time traveller without a local guide, I suspect this hotel would be a bit rough. For me, though, it worked well.
