We will gladly go back.

 by  anonymous  on  2008-07-17

We thouroughly enjoyed the Regent Palms. The accomodations were as promised, high quality and comfortable. The service and staff were very polite, helpful, and friendly. The facilities are extremely well cared for and appropriate for a beach holiday. We took advantage of the beach facilities and particularly appreciated the "quiet area, adults only". Cognac under the stars! The beach is superb with the water being even better. We sailed, snorkeled, and walked the beach. Unlike many Caribean Islands we felt safe and secure walking Grace Bay. We ended each evening with a sunset walk. We did not experience any of the prewarned difficulties with mosquitos. I suspect it was the off-season for them also. This is a place for a subdued relaxing holiday. If one is interested in partying, gambling, and heavy shopping, this is not the place. We got what we paid for. My wife, being an avid yoga/pilates spa afficionado, utilized and enjoyed the spa. She was surprised at the quallity of the excersize instrutors. They were not one's usual hotel somebbody has to do it type. We ate at the Palms signature restaurant and were very pleased with the high quality of the meal. For less formal dinners we (easily) walked the beach and found other hotel restaurants. All were adequate except next door at the Alexandra. It was poor quality, obnoxiously loud, and we were overcharged. The prices were not as advertised. The only dissapointment in an otherwise lovely vacation. For those needing an excursion, the snorkling/ diving is excellent as well as the "Provo Ponies" horseriding on Long Beach. The vacation was as advertised. Thank you.

We will gladly go back.

We stayed a week at the Regent Palms and it is lovely. The facilities are great and the staff was top-notch. The grounds are beautiful; the layout is nice and the pool is wonderful. The concierge had arranged for all of our diving and meals prior to our arrival and helped with anything that we needed. The rooms are beautiful and the housekeeping was perfect. We spent most of our time at the beach and it is spectacular. We enjoyed the "cabana" chairs each day- and there always seemed to be plenty of the covered/shaded chairs for all the guests The resort was primarily couples scattered with a few families with children. We had teenagers - which was fine since they were relaxing and diving most of the day. The service was Four-Seasons-ish, with cool/scented towels; water bottles and cold melon brought to us on the beach. The beach staff was very helpful with the "water toys" on the beach and made sure that everything was perfect. We ate at several other of the top-rated resorts and believe that the Regent Palms was as nice as any. The Grace Bay Club might have more "romantic" spots for couples - but we loved the feeling at the Palms. The meal at Parallel23, The Palms fine restaurant, was great, but really enjoyed the dinners at the pool restaurant as much. We also ate dinner at Anacoaona at Grace Bay and Grace's Cottage - both were wonderful. We ate a casual dinner at Hemmingways- nice and casual atmosphere, but our food was a little under-par. Several friends have had nice meals there - so would like to give it another try. The Regent Palms was really a great place for a wonderful vacation. We could not place a higher rating on it.

Beautiful Grace Bay

the best service oriented luxury hotel. beautifully maintained property, extremely cordial staff, great amenities such as the cabanas by the beach and cold bottles of water constantly handed out. the best location for laying out undisturbed. it felt like a private island because it's never crowded.

We will gladly go back.

Hand-delivered frozen fruit by the ocean, drinks at the swim-up pool bar, a cozy bed I wanted to pack and take home with me...everything was amazing. Expensive but definitely worth the price. Very clean, everyone was cheerful and helpful. The food and drinks were pricy but delicious - they weren't stingy with the alcohol. The concierge was great - booked all of our activities for us and printed out confirmation sheets with instructions on dress code, time, etc. The excursions and restaurants he suggested were excellent. To sum it up, I made my husband promise me we'd go back next year. Totally worth the expense.

Beautiful Grace Bay

This wsa an amazing hotel. Felt like you were staying at a spa. We went just me and my husband but there were lots of families as well. Not at all your typical hotel. At the beach was brought cold bottled water, sprayed with water by staff in the sun, brought fresh fruit to you on the beach - the service was excellent. Pool was great. Very clean. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Also, recommed the Caicos Dream Tours as a half day snorkeling excursion as well.

Palms Turks and Caicos

 by  anonymous  on  2007-12-20

The Palms was a luxurious resort without the mega hotel feel. After landing, we were greeted by a complimentary shuttle provided by the Palms. We arrived in 15 minutes and were handed cold lavender scented towels and icy fruit punch. The staff at check-in were sure to make the process as efficient as possible. Rooms were already assigned and keys in hand as soon as you arrive. Awaiting is a staff to escort you to your room at which point they will ask for your credit card number for incidentals. We booked the Gardenview room and we were not disappointed. Classy design without pretention. Every room has a balcony with a seating area, perfect for the morning paper and coffee. The food at Plunge, pool bar, was not impressive but once we saw the beach, food was easy to forget - clearest blue water we've ever seen. The only thing we liked on the menu was the margherita pizza. Pina coladas were good too. Take advantage of the non-motorized sports as they are complimentary. Another perk at the Palms, before 10:30am, continental breakfast is also complimentary - cold items such as croissants, danish, cereal and muffins, coffee and juice all included. An a la carte menu also available if you need a hot breakfast instead. Everything on the island is taxed 10% and that includes food and beverages. We were glad to choose the Palms and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who has not stayed here.
