Unlike any other resort in the area, all of our accommodations consist of either individual traditional Thai villas with separate living, dining, sleeping areas, outdoor shower, indoor bath, large outdoor living spaces and many with private swimming pool or plunge pools overlooking rice paddy fields. All villas are unique in that the design and detail of each its building was painstakingly researched from ancient Lanna Buildings and hand-crafted by local artisans or true suites in the colonial style, each with bedroom and separate but adjoining living rooms and large private verandahs. The Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi boasts accommodations on a grand scale from 80 to 600 square meters. The 5 meters high ceiling of the colonial suites enhance the sense of our guests in term of open space and palatial living. - 10 minutes drive from Chiang Mai International Airport, Thailand and five minutes from the city centre. - Set on 52 acres of verdant tranquil grounds in the historical and cultural heart of Northern Thailand. - An ideal base from which to explore the region's rich heritage. Regular daily flight from Bangkok and South East Asian destinations.

Top notch resort
This hotel is just amazing!! Built like an ancient palace, the arrival experience already sets the mood for a superb romantic getaway. I stayed in the Villa which has it's own private swimming pool that overlooks the rice padi fields. Dine at the Farang Ses the french fine dining. Food and service is excellent. Following food, ask the staff to arrange for rice paper lanterns. Light it, make a wish and release it up to the night sky. I proposed to my girlfriend after and she immdiately said yes. I'll most definitely return for my honeymoon!!!
