Good Location
This hotel was ok but a bit shabby which I found suprising as it is one of the main hotels downtown. Our tub was worn. Furniture was old. Carpe...
Expensive -- even for a Hilton, but otherwise a good hotel
Nothing really wrong with this hotel, but undoubtedly because of the need to make their money during the short high season, the price is pretty...
Ghetto
The worst value of any hotel I've ever stayed at, anywhere in the world. The staff is okay. Friendly, if not terribly competent. It's in a good...

We won't go back!
Room was dirty (including the candy bar wrapper behind the nightstand). Ate at the Hotel's Top of the World Restaurant. Use to be a first class...
I booked two connecting rooms using my points for a 7 day visit, 3 months prior to our arrival. We arrived at 6PM (not late in Alaska) and they didn't have connecting rooms, just a lot of excuses. The third room we were shown, we kept, and my teens were in the room next to us. The following day we were relocated to a better/appropriate location, nicer view (harbor, but trains made noise all night). We were told it was an upgraded room, but seemed standard by my scale. Rooms and baths were clean, but while in the bathroom couldn't shut door if sitting on toilet. POOL AND GYM WERE NOT AVAILABLE (They were doing renovations during high season!) ROOFTOP RESTAURANT WAS OUT OF BUSINESS. Regular restaurants (2) were normal, overpriced ones. Had to pay for WiFi. Help was generally friendly. It just is not a Category 5 property. Maybe a 3. Location was convenient for walking to fine dining and the train.
I went to Anchorage on business, thought a downtown Hilton would be nice. Turns out the hotel is an awful place in need of major updates. There was large amounts of mold in the bathroom, drapes didn't work, and the whole place smelled of smoke even though it is a non smoking floor. Parking is very expensive 14 a day, no continental breakfast, and the restaurants in the hotel are very expensive. Would not stay again! The odors were awful!
This was our family of 4's first view of Alaska prior to heading north in a rented RV. The staff was very friendly, and our room was standard-fare but on club level which meant snacks and breakfast were part of the experience. Location is great - right on the edge of downtown Anchorage close to the tourist kiosks. Seems to be a spot where cruise ships overnight their guests, but we didn't mind the groups in the lobby.
We booked a non-smoking club level deluxe room. We arrived in the room to find that the beds had not been made. We asked for another room, and as we entered it we were assaulted with the smell of stale cigarette smoke. We were then moved to the last available room, which was not club level nor was it deluxe, in fact the doors to the closet has been ripped from thier hinges and had not been replaced. If you are a tourist, headed for Anchorage..steer very clear of the Hilton.
I stayed here for a convention. We were asked many times by the staff to keep the noise down when we were walking down the hallwy just laughing our talking. When we checked in the computer system wasn't working and they couldn't issue all our keys and on the last day our keys didn't even work!
Rooms sort of small. When checking out, guy at front desk was a jerk. Bellhops were great.
