Great stay !!Great restaurant!!
This is my point of view, with all respect and only reason to help to find what i did not find when looked for it at yahoo. Overall is 4 cause ...
Hotel was about 4-5 miles from the airport. Very easy to get to airport. Could actually see it from our room window. Requested a water view when checking in, and a king bed. Both of which were accomodated at no additional charge. Staff seemed nice, although somewhat inexperienced. No ramp to get into hotel lobby; just steps. We had a lot of bags, because we had been away for 2 weeks, and had been on a cruise. We had to drive around to the side of the hotel, and go into a basement garage/workshop area. From there, we would get a luggage cart and reach the elevators. They are supposed to get a handicap ramp soon (they said) for the front of the hotel. Lobby is austere, as the hotel used to be an apartment building. Very small, and no amenities. Just a couple couches. All in all, It was an okay visit. No major problems. They look like they are a work in progress.
We stayed at the Inlet Tower after our cruise we were not impressed the room was not very clean old used coffee grounds in the coffee pot room smelled bad the decor need inprovement, didn't care for the onsite resturant very pricey. Don't thing we would stay again.
They offer shuttle services to the hotel, but we had to wait 30 minutes in the rain at 12:30 in the morning our ride. The windows are thin and do not block any noise from outside. The room was tiny as well as the bathroom. The hotel is about 8 blocks from downtown, so if you don't have a car it can be a lot of walking. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, it was very expensive for what we got.
Don?t be deceived by the photos on the web site - this place is a dump. Rooms were left over from the 1950's and smelt stale. Hotel lobby was dark even in the middle of the day. Front desk was rude and unhelpful. Is it too much to ask for change for a dollar so that we could do our laundry? Apparently, at this hotel it is. The restaurant - it took 40 minutes to get a toasted bagel! There are plenty of hotels in the area that will pick you up from the airport - so stay with someone else.
I was so surprised, the outside is pretty normal for Anchorage, but the inside is to die for!!! Everything has been remodeled. My room had beautiful new furniture; the staff was so friendly & helpful. The food in the restaurant is so unique; I want to come back just to eat!!! I will defiantly stay again! Great job!!!
My 2nd stay. Much better than 1st. Room did not have a bureau but I made do! Bathroom a bit small but okay. Price was good. Service much better. If only they had room service!
