The Hotel Alyeska is a Chateau style property located on Mount Alyeskas ski slopes with ski in/ski out accessibility. The 60 person aerial tram departs directly from the skiers concourse which is attached to the property and travels 2300 feet to the Glacier Express and Seven Glaciers restaurants atop Mount Alyeska. With over 68 world class ski runs non-existent lift lines and spectacular views of the ocean it is easy to see why Mount Alyeska is such a renowned Alaskan destination. Towering trees and glacial fed streams make this valley a spectacular location for hiking biking horseback riding skiing and snowboarding. There are seven glaciers that hang above the Valley including one tucked into Alyeskas own glacial bowl. Guests can view the ocean waterway known as the Turnagain Arm and the Kenai Range of mountains opposite Girdwood valley. Travelers coming from the cruise ship port town of Seward will find Alyeska Resort an easy solution to a pre or post night stay. Though 35 miles south of Anchorage Alyeska Resort is an easy drive with unlimited picture stops along the scenic Seward Highway which has an All American Highway designation. National Geographic Magazine calls it one of the top ten drives in North America. The Prince William Sound port of Whittier is nearby as is the Portage Glacier and Chugach National Park Interpretative Center.

Having just spent 5 days in Denali National Park, we booked the Hotel Alyeska as a jumping off point for the final leg of our trip in order to explore the areas south of Anchorage (Whittier and Seward). The hotel was extremely luxurious compared to where we had been, but was also the best deal since they offered a 3rd night free. Service, room and staff were excellent. We chose not to eat meals at the hotel, but restaurants nearby in Girdwood were great . Definitely would stay again, but it is a bit of a drive to Seward.
New things are in play at this hotel.. we are trying to get a room to see what the new developements are since being taken over. We enjoyed our stay in octoberfest. pleople are freindly and efficient.
service, pool and rooms made this place a great stay
We had a wonderful stay at the Alyeska Resort. We were only there for 1 night but would definately go back again and stay longer. The bed was so comfortable!!! We had a wonderful view outside our window and enjoyed our walk along the walking trails. We went during their off season so when we checked in we were given an upgraded room. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly - we had no complaints.
HOTEL IS ABOUT 35 MILES FROM ANCHORAGE IN A SCENIC SETTING. A BEAUTIFUL HOTEL & GREAT ROOMS.HIKING TRAILS JUST OUT OF THE HOTEL.THIS IS NOT ABIG CITY HOTEL, SMALL TOWN HOTEL THAT IS FIRST CLASS. THE POOL AREA IS A LITTLE HARD TO FIND. GO EARLY TO THE POOL AREA ON WEEKENDS AS THERE ARE MANY CHILDREN AT THE POOL AS THE DAY GOES ON. THERE ARE ADULTS ONLY TIMES LATE ON THE WEEKENDS.
Very clean and comfortable!
Located just 40 miles south of Anchorage, Alyeska Resort sits cradled in the Chugach Range, just above Cook Inlet. On a clear day, skiers and boarders can see the tide coming in and out in the Gulf of
