Bedding
I liked the european style beds they were very delighting to make me comfortable during my stay.
My first choice to stay in Seward
It has big rooms with 2 queen beds. The bathroom is large. Has small pool.
I've stayed here twice this month and am going back for an extended stay in October. The facility is so nice and the staff have been wonderfully friendly. The harbor and mountain view is awesome and Seward is a great town.
We stayed there for 2 nights. Wish we could have stayed longer. Price we paid was high, but we booked late. Got a wonderful room overlooking the harbor. It was very conventiant for us taking the 8 Hour Major Marine Tour. Room was very good with real AC, which we used. Very plush towels and amenities in the bath. Great bed. Wonderful shower. Breakfast OK with good coffee. Only problem was being given the wrong room number during check-in. There is a self serve laundry on the 2nd floor. I would like to go back to the area for the Sea Life Center and also the Wild Life Conservation Center. Also for Exit Glacier and other places.
This hotel is very clean with large rooms. Our family of 4 stayed there and with all our bags, didn't feel crowded. It is near the Alaska Railroad Depot and right on the small boat harbor. It is within walking distance of many restaurants. The continental breakfast was great. It is not near the Alaska Sea Life Center, but Seward is not a large town anyway, so I would estimate it is a 15 minute walk to the Sea Life Center. Would definitely stay there again!
Hotel services were superb. We had party of eight, four rooms. Hotel went extra mile to make all of us very comfortable. Only minor problem at check out gives hotel one half of one demerit; otherwise a 4 star experience.
Loved the location, the breakfast (sweet cinnamon rolls!), and the front desk staff, except for the woman who claimed to be the General Manager. She was apparently working the desk and would only come out to help us once we'd cleared our throats multiple times.
I was pleasantly suprised to find a Holiday Inn Express as nice as this one is. The room was very clean and comfortable, the facilities were nice, and the complimentary breakfast was very good for complimentary. I highly recommend it.
