Room had serious electrical problem. After trying for 8 hours to get hotel to fix it I called the Birmingham Fire Dept. They were there within 10 minutes and shut power off to the room. Made hotel furnish another room even though they had been saying they didn't have another room. Staff is incompetent. Would assume management is also.

This places is the pits. The staff doesn't care for you the customer. I've been at motel 6 in better shape with better staff for less money. Better deals for the money.

I wanted a non-smoking room, but at first was put in a smoking room. The hotel did change my room, but put me in a room that the bathroom was under repair. It had caulk all over the floor. The third room was OK, but was next across the parking lot from a pub with a band that played until midnight. I guess you need to stay away on the weekend. The bathroom wasn't that clean. I haven't had much success with LaQunita, but the price was right.

I'm a business traveler and this is where I will return for Birmingham. I stayed for 4 days and found it had what I needed. Clean and quiet, with a wide choice of restaurants in the area. Hot water was not a problem for me, however the pressure was on the low side.Breakfast consisted of coffee, milk, pasteries, and cereals with some fruit. Not bad but no meat or eggs.Check in and out was a breeze. I will return... next week in fact!

Good hotel for the business traveler. SAFE area, clean rooms, freindly staff. Great price. Only negitives: Water heater could not keep up in the am...warm at best. Music from Irish bar could be heard at night if you are a very light sleeper - request opposite side room.

Although much further south of downtown Birmingham (35 minutes by car) and Homewood (25 minutes) than I expected, the hotel and amenities were excellent for the price-range. My room was very large, the king-size bed was firm, and all furnishings, coffee maker, iron, etc. were good quality. Although the hotel was full, my room was very quiet. Staff was friendly & efficient. My only complaint is the hot water, which was never warmer than room temperature at morning or at night.
