Accommodations are not suitable for children and adults under 21. Five majestic large Live Oaks, over 100 years old, covered Government Street in front of the 1895 Queen Anne Victorian Resort, yet the Berney Fly Bed and Breakfast is historic, with a soothing cultural atmosphere with ponds, pool, and fountains amidst the sub-tropical gardens, the Berney Fly Bed and Breakfast is located in the Historic Oak Leigh Garden District, three blocks from the Historical Oak Leigh Mansion, eleven blocks from Convention Center and Carnival Cruise Terminal, and only six city blocks from the 24-7 night life. Also, our guests are able to experience the local cuisines, the History and Cultural Museums, 6,000 historic homes, Art Galleries, USS Alabama Battleship, Bellingrath Gardens and Home, Sporting Events and golfing throughout the year. Berney Fly Bed and Breakfast architect includes intricate woodwork on both outside with a wrap around porch and Queen Anne Victorian gables on all sides and inside with hardwood floors, staircase with banister, six fireplaces with half and full mantels, stain glass window, three gas chandeliers, all from the original 1858 cottage and the two major additions in 1895 and 1900. The rooms are decorated with turn of the 20th Century antiques and artwork from all over the world.
