Great beds and the pull out couch was fairly comfrontable. Staff is very accommodating. Anything we asked for was brought immediately. Pool and hot tub were soooooo nice. Beautiful landscaping. Very close to everything without feeling your in the middle of town. Will stay there again when we return to La Jolla. Could use some type of fan in the excercise room for those of us not use to the humidity. Enjoyed the microwave, coffee pot and lighted magnifiing mirror. Great touches. Overall a very pleasent stay.
What a lovely, comfortable room! The beds were the best I've ever slept on! Great having a large flat-screen tv, microwave, and coffee maker. I especially liked the lighted make-up mirror in the bathroom! We looked at similarly-priced hotels in the area, but the amenities and quality of this hotel far exceeded them. Beautiful grounds, too, with plantation shutters looking out on. Couldn't be happier.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is great-it is not your typical high rise hotel and felt like you are in a resort. Every meal in the restaurant was very good.
I stayed at this hotel for almost two weeks. The staff is warm and friendly. I certainly appreciate all of their help with directions and questions I had about attractions nearby. The beds are very comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again.
This Shearaton is close to everywhere -- UCSD, La Jolla Village Square, University Town Centre. Seaworld is a five minutes drive. UCSD is a walking distance. La Jolla Village Square is in its backyard. AC is very quiet unlike other hotels or motels. Though we stayed only one night, it gave us a great impression.
I will always choose a Sheraton! I loved the bed!!! My boyfriend and I just wanted a night away and this was perfect! We even ate at the restaurant in the hotel...which was great as well. The airconditioning worked great! The room was super clean. There was plenty of parking and right off the freeway. My boyfriend and I slept so well. By far the most comfort you will get from any hotel!!!
horrible customer service

Rude front desk
Online, there were room rates for $125/night. I printed the page to check-in with. I was not allowed that rate at the counter. The best I could get was $179/night. I was told I could use their free wireless internet to book it online. This amenity functioned very poorly, cutting out constantly. I tried this for an hour at the hotel lounge. While at the lounge, the bartender was yelled at, and belittled by his manager. The reason is unknown, but the foul language used and the total unprofessional behavior was obviously uncalled for. It was an uncomfortable situation for all the patrons. After failing to properly book a room online, I used the business center and logged in using a co-workers room number. There I find that on-line rates are not available through their internet feed. I succumb to the rate quoted to me at the desk. I now go to check in and am told the rate is $220/night. This is from a rude Richard Phillips. I explain my whole ordeal about the online rate and the rate previously quoted to me at the counter. He doesn't accept this and maintains that room rates are $220/night. My frustration is increasing as I ask why they switch room rates around. Richard Phillips goes to get his manager, who tells him that the room rate is $179/night. I get my room, which is beautiful. The next day I find that my room key doesn't allow me access to leave the parking structure, and later, into my building or room. Being a frequent business traveler, I know not to expect too much, but this experience was by far memorable, to say the least.
