We had a lovely large room with a view of the pool. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. It felt like an quality vintage hotel experience.

We stayed here for our anniversary. The staff went out of their way with little personal touches to really make it special. Great location. Tons of great shopping and restaurants just steps away. A block from the ocean. Fabulous restaurant.

An older hotel with character. Walk-in closets. Very comfortable beds. Meeting rooms were aceptable. Restaurant excellent, in fact outstanding for a hotel. Staff really try, could not be more hepful. Would definitely stay there.Just a start stroll from the beach. In the midst of many excellent restaurants.

Perfect location, views, especially the ocean-view suite in the heart of downtown La Jolla. Awesome restaurant ""910"" is amazing in its own right. Hotel staff somewhat clueless. We booked a spa for 2 package with the hotel and they tried to charge us extra at the spa for an ""upgrade"" we never asked for. Manager did take care of this, though. Dated rooms are reasonably kept but badly in need of renovation and pricey.

it was a windy day and there was a storm ,the flag that's hanging outside is banging on the window..i called front desk to fix it ..no action was done ..i did'nt sleep the whole night noisy ..what a night if you have a orientation trip to the sdsu ..check out not even hear anything from the front desk just like nothing happen to my inconvinience..paid too much money for the inconvienience..

This hotel is absolutely wonderful and I already look forward to returning. It's small enough to feel personal, but large enough to have the ammenities of a heavenly relaxing pool and great restaurant. The location is perfect (near beach and in heart of downtown). Only area for improvement is the front desk staff, which was consistently clueless. Although when we checked out the manager corrected all the errors without a problem. Recommend checking out the B&B package - it was great deal and wonderful food. All in all, a fantastic place to stay.
