Also on the hotel's six acres are trails that lead to the Torrey Pines State Beach and Reserve. All rooms are non-smoking and feature Stickley-style furnishings, antiques and reproduction turn-of-the-20th-century pieces, and an array of in-room luxuries. We had no idea what to expect when we booked our trip to getaway for a fun spa getaway. Incredible staff, beautiful surroundings, fabulous spa and great food. Whenever you book a more expensive hotel, it's sometimes with trepidation. But not at this place! We felt like we were walking into someones beautiful home. If you are a Craftsman archictecture fan - you will love this place. The rooms are beautiful and cozy. I usually don't sleep well in hotels - but I slept so well here - that I asked what type of beds they used. The front desk was able to give me all the info so I could order one for my house! We aren't golfers - but after seeing the view - we wish we were! Beautiful landscaping and the golf course overlooks the ocean. We had spa treatments 2 different days and were absolutely spoiled! (I sugget the salt glow withthe vichy shower - pure heaven!) I enthusiastically recommend this hotel to anyone!! Well worth the money! Enjoy!
Once we arrived at the Lodge we did not want to go anywhere else! The only drawback is you are not right on the ocean but you hardly miss it with all the hotel amenities. My husband loved the golf course and I enjoyed the pool and spa. The only thing I would say is take a full tour of the hotel the first day as many things like the spa and the Grill are tucked away and you might miss them. Pricey but great experience...we would stay here again for that luxury experience.
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! I DIDN'T MIND PAYING THE PRICE! WOULD RETURN IN A HEARTBEAT!
