I was in San Diego for the burial of my sister. This Day's Inn is an insult to the overall quality that I have experienced through the Days' Inn Hotels. This must have been a privately owned facility. The "hotel lobby" was more like a sleeze bag motel where people check in for illicit "One nite stands." The hotel "desk clerk" was rude when asked if the room had Internet access (joke). There was no furnishings in the "hotel lobby." The door leading to our building was in need of repair and it took us eight (8) separate tries to get the key to work in order to gain access. The hallways were not clean and carpet was worn. I will never stay at this facility again. I checked out the next day, and did not stay the two nights as planned.
Extremely noisy hotel with train tracks on one side and busy Pacific highway in front of the property. Room walls are cardboard thin and pipes from adjoining rooms - shower and toilets - very noisy. Dusty carpets in the corner, dismal free breakfast, towel bar fell, bathroom door all stained with soao scum, etc.The good points are : excellent location, low price (but not good value) , in room microwave and fridge, free parking, complimentary hi speed internet and free shuttle to airport. We would not stay there again, we will pay a little but more for better experience.
