imagine a hotel bathroom with no toilet paper or towel holders. now imagine paying *+ a night for strange curly paper towels for bath towels, dirty bed sheets and pillows, a rude owner, room the size of a crackerbox, broken toilet, and no parking. if this is what you're looking for then stay at this dump. AND THIS IS AFTER THE "REMODEL"

 by  anonymous  on  2008-03-30

I've never had a worse experience at a hotel and we were only there for 20 minutes. When we first arrived at the hotel, we were under the impression that parking was free as stated on their description. Little did we know that what they really meant was that if there was no space in their tiny parking lot, parking on the street was free. As we walked up to our room, we noticed that other rooms had doors missing and was boarded up. We saw tape holding parts of the elevator together. And when we finally got to our room there was a post-it with our door number on it.Inside the room it got worse. The room was nasty, old and looked nothing like their pictures. There was a horrible stench and our view was a open dumpster in their tiny parking area.We decided that we could not stay there, went to the front office to return our keys, and inform them that we are not intending to pay for the room. They refused to give us a refund and would only offer to switch us to another room. They even LIED to the Travelocity rep we were talking too and told them we had four people with us. We are currently in the process of disputing this charge with Travelocity and American Express. We ended up staying at the Sheraton a few miles down the road and had a wonderful evening.

If you want to really ruin a vacation in such a nice city as San Diego, stay here. I really don't know why the city allows them to operate. They cheat on their prices. The rooms are horrifying. They stink, they are filthy and actually dangerous (unable to lock window open to front in a bad area). The front door lock fell off, the microwaves are dirty and ours had food left in it. There was mold all around the bathroom tub and floors. Lots of cigarette burns in the carpets and bedspreads. The smell was sickening. The refrigerator had a large burned hole in it. The kitched cupboards were so old and dirty I was afraid to go in there. The drapes were torn with holes in them and haphazzardly hanging on the window. The website for this hotel is almost totally a complete lie. I wish that Travelocity, Hotels.com, Priceline, etc. would check in to these type of rip off places before showing them at the websites. It gives these websites a bad feeling for some of their customers. At least for those customers who were unfortunate enought to stay at this hotel.Any nice things you see about this hotel have been written by the hotel's management. There is not other explanation.

I had a friend visit for a week who decided to spend part of it at a hotel. He booked a reservation here -- at a last minutes notice -- for a two-to-three night stay. Prior to this reservation, my friend was sleeping on an air matress in the living room floor. After he siged in we walked into his hotel room and were both in shock because he just spend a little over * for the piece-of-garbage hotel room. A while later (less than an hour) we were back at my place and he decided that he was not going to stay there. I suggested that he call to cancel. Feeling ashamed, he didn't want to because he would look like a fool. I told him that I was going to call for him. When I spoke to the front desk clerk, I described how unsatisfactory the room was and that we would like a refund (mind you, less than an hour has passed and the room was still in the same condition it was in before we walked in). The clerk was uncooperative and would only change rooms. The photos of this website of this hotel are deceiving. The sad fact is, my friend felt more comfortable sleeping in my living room on an air matress than in a run down third-world quality hotel. Honestly, any of the economical motels (i.e., Super 8 Motel) would be safer, more comfortable, and worth what you pay for, than this location. Stay Away!!!

Staying at the harbor view wast he worst experience I've had to date. The ceiling was wet from an upstairs leak, there was an open window to an airvent in the bathroom, it smelled terrible a was just plain dirty. I stayed one night and they refused my refund for the rest of the week. What a rip-off. My wife was in town for only 3 days of my week stay and I had to spend over half of my saturday arguing with staff and waitin for a call from the manager. In the end they blew me off and I'm stuck paying for the whole week. DO NOT STAY HERE.
