This Hotel is beautiful, the rooms are a little outdated in the old tower section, but still have a terrific view of the san diego bay. Rooms on the 17th floor are quiet and we could not hear any noise from the trains/trolly just across the street. The beds are very comfortable. If you've never been to San Diego, I do recommend staying at this hotel for the close proximity to Seaport Village, the Gas Lamp District, the Zoo and all the great restaurants within walking distance! Try getting a room in the new tower, above the 17th floor.

This is not a bad hotel, A bit expensive for what you get but all hotels at the area are like this.Try to book a room away form the elevator since it makes too much noise and you won't sleep! We had a room next to the elevator and requested to transfer us to another room farther. The second room was much better. The view was amazing.
Hotel is located in a convienient spot to get most everywhere. Seaport Village is just steps out the back door , as well as great access to the "Big Bay'. While I've read others have had problems with the staff, in the three times we have stayed here , we have found them to be both helpful and pleasant. They are trying to accomadate more families and there is a notable difference due to this. While it is nice for parents with children, it would be nice if those parents would take responsibility for the mess they make or at minimum supervise their children so as to take others into consideration. It's great to find fault about the hotel staff and complain about cleanliness, however these same people would absolutely flip if their kids left marshmellows stuck to furniture , seating areas, ect. Guess they figure it is the hotel's responsibility to clean it up, personally I would be embaressed. Good things : on site car rental, nice rooms, location, location, location. Tons of things within walking distance, trolley right accross the street, pedicabs and taxi cabs. Midway museum just down the street, good restaurants all within walking distance, water taxi to Coronado Island right next door. You can save about *a night staying out of the marina area, but it is worth the extra * bucks to stay here.
After 10 days, I am not that impressed
I attended SANS 2007 and spent 9 nights at this hotel. I have stayed in a wide variety of hotels and spa resorts across the U.S. and Europe. ...
The West Coast's tallest waterfront hotel offers killer views, grand amenities and easy access to the city's top attractions.
In Short Conveniently located near Seaport Village, the Convention Center, and steps from the Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego's largest hotel da
